Donations to a community foundation are pooled and permanently invested. Gifts are never spent and the money always stay in the community. Every year, these investments generate money that is distributed to support local charitable needs. Community foundations provide support that lasts forever. Some projects we have supported over the past years are: Pipestone Hall, Sinclair Hall, Cromer Rink, Palliative Care Bed, Minor Baseball, Playground equipment in Reston and Pipestone, Flip and Twist and so many more

Manitoba is home to 55 community foundations – more than any other area of the country. Every year these foundations invest millions of dollars into a wide range of local charitable projects. They help ensure our hometowns are vibrant and thriving. Current Board Members of the Reston and Area Foundation Inc. are: Kay Guthrie – Chairman, Keri Vinck – Secretary, Brenda Ellis-Anderson – Treasurer, Board Members: Sherrill Berry, Lori Greig, Diane Elliott and new appointed Julie Fotheringham.
