Flying Frenchmen come in First

"There is nothing more Canadian than strapping on a pair of skates on a cold day and playing a good old hockey game in a small town. This past weekend the Sinclair Stringers hosted a Rec Hockey Tournament in Pipestone, MB, which was a roaring success. Six teams attended the tournament from surrounding communities including: Sinclair, Reston, Bellegarde, Hartney, Pierson, and Melita. Teams played Friday and Saturday with playoffs on Sunday. Pictured above is the A side Winners, the Bellegarde Flying Frenchmen. Trophies were awarded to the winners of each pool and a prize was given to the other team. This was a great way to keep the tournament fun and everyone going home as a winner.

There was a full canteen and bar open during the tournament as well which was a treat for anyone who attended. Wiley Gilliard of Pipestone kept food and beverages flowing throughout the duration of the tournament with high praises on the food being served. The amenities at the rink were also praised as being a great place to host an event. Many of the tournament goers said that the rink was great and they would be back again."
