Burning Ban in effect
Under the authority of By-law 2002/11 Council of the RM of Pipestone has instituted a burning ban effective May 3, 2018. Please refrain from all burning activities.
Yard Sale Saturday
Reston is hosting Yard Sale Saturday on May 26th. While in town plan to attend the art show at Reston United Church. Hidden Treasures is open and St. John’s Anglican Church is hosting a Beef on a Bun.
Reston United Church is hosting a Concert/sing-a-long on Sunday May 27th at 11:00 a.m. This is a common vision – singing to end hunger – a fundraiser for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank at the Reston United Church featuring our local choir. Donations received will be forwarded directly to CFB. A light lunch will be served following the concert, silver collection accepted. Everyone is welcome.
National Health and Fitness Day
Following the passage of the National Health and Fitness Day Act last year, more than 270 cities and towns across Canada have proclaimed the first Saturday in June as National Health and Fitness Day. This provides an opportunity for communities to mark the day with local events to celebrate and promote the use of indoor and outdoor sport and fitness facilities. Join them Saturday, June 2 for family outdoor activities. Everyone is welcome. Half price fitness centre memberships are available this day to new and existing members.
